Last Updated: August 30, 2026 · EDService LLC (dba EDService Appliance Repair)
1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Customer," "you," or "your") and EDService LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), operating under the trade name EDService Appliance Repair.
By scheduling a service appointment online, requesting service by telephone or email, or authorizing our technicians to inspect or perform work on your appliances, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Scope of Services
EDService LLC provides professional in-home diagnostics, maintenance, and repair services for major residential household appliances including refrigerators, freezers, ice makers, washing machines, dryers, dishwashers, ovens, cooktops, and stoves throughout North Texas (including Collin, Denton, and Dallas counties).
All work is performed by qualified technicians using industry-standard tools and replacement components.
3. Diagnostic Fees & Written Estimates
- Diagnostic Service Call: When a technician visits your property, a diagnostic fee is charged to evaluate the appliance, identify the root cause of the issue, and provide an itemized repair estimate.
- Estimate Approval: We will explain the diagnosis and provide a clear repair quote (parts and labor) before any repair work commences. No repairs are performed without your verbal or written authorization.
- Declined Repairs: If you decide not to proceed with the repair after diagnosis, only the diagnostic service call fee remains due.
4. Appointments, Access & Adult Presence
- Adult Presence: An adult of at least 18 years of age with legal authority to authorize repairs must be present during the entire service visit.
- Safe & Clear Access: The customer must provide safe, clear, and unobstructed access to the appliance, surrounding workspace, electrical panels, and water/gas shutoff valves.
- Cancellations & Rescheduling: If you need to cancel or reschedule your service call, please notify us at least 2 hours before the scheduled arrival window.
5. Payment Terms
Full payment for diagnostic fees, labor, and parts is due immediately upon completion of the service visit. We accept major credit/debit cards, Zelle, and cash. Invoices and receipts are provided electronically via email or SMS.
Title to any installed replacement parts remains with EDService LLC until the invoice is paid in full.
6. Limited Warranty (90-Day Parts & Labor Guarantee)
We take pride in our workmanship and stand behind our repairs with a comprehensive 90-Day Limited Warranty:
- Coverage: All newly installed replacement parts and associated technician labor performed by EDService LLC are warrantied for ninety (90) days from the original date of repair against defect or failure.
- Warranty Remedy: If a warrantied part fails or the same specific repair issue recurs within 90 days, we will reinspect, repair, or replace the defective part at no additional charge for parts or labor.
- Warranty Exclusions: This warranty does not cover:
- Unrelated failures, new symptoms, or problems caused by different appliance components.
- Damage resulting from external factors (power surges, electrical outages, hard water scaling, foreign objects, pest infestation, or plumbing/drain line backups).
- Tampering, self-repair attempts, or third-party modifications after our visit.
- Cosmetic damages, light bulbs, water filters, or general wear items.
7. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
- Pre-existing Conditions: Appliances, surrounding flooring, cabinetry, water hoses, or shut-off valves may have pre-existing brittleness, corrosion, or wear. We are not responsible for damage caused by aging or fragile fixtures unless caused by our direct gross negligence.
- Food & Perishable Loss: We are not liable for spoiled food, beverages, medications, or incidental perishable losses resulting from refrigerator, freezer, or ice maker failure before, during, or after service.
- Consequential Damages: To the fullest extent permitted by Texas law, in no event shall EDService LLC be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from appliance downtime or service delays.
8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute arising from our services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in Collin County, Texas.
